Apple will launch its Apple News app in Canada early next week.
The application of the American technology giant aggregates news and can be configured to offer articles according to the interests of the user.
Initially, it will offer content in English and French from CBC, Radio-Canada, CTV News, La Presse and the Toronto Star. However, it is bound to develop and should eventually relay articles from other publications.
Participating media will be allowed to sell subscriptions through the app, though Apple has not yet reported how much of this revenue will go to the media.
A first version of Apple News iOS and macOS applications was made available to Canadian developers on Thursday.
