If you are the proud owner of Asus ZenFone Max Pro 2, Max Pro M1 or Max M2, then you should be pleased to know that Asus has announced the official release date for Android 9.0 Pie. This is Google’s latest operating system and it comes with a plethora of features and software improvements that will take performances of Asus’s smartphones to the next level. Nonetheless, the update is scheduled to start rolling out in April.
Android 9.0 Pie
The first thing that we want to mention about the major operating system update for Asus ZenFone Max Pro 2, Max Pro M1 and Max M2 is that it doesn’t surprise us it will start rolling in April. Asus promised that Android 9.0 Pie will arrive to these three smartphones in February, but unfortunately, the update was pushed back for unknown reasons.
On the bright side of things, Asus announced today that three smartphones are scheduled to receive Android 9.0 Pie and all the features that it brings in April. Therefore, we advise all Asus ZenFone Max Pro 2, Max Pro M1 and Max M2 users to clear up some storage space because they will need it.

Since we are talking about Asus’s smartphone lineup from 2018, let’s check out what type of hardware specs ZenFone Max Pro 2 has to offer in order to see if this smartphone is worthy of the flagship title. Since ZenFone Max Pro 2 is a flagship smartphone, Asus has made sure to equip it with a premium full-screen IPS LCD display that measures in at 6.26-inches.
In case the display of ZenFone Max Pro 2 is not impressive enough, then you should know that Asus has also equipped the smartphone with an octa-core Snapdragon 660 CPU that clocks at 2.2GHz. The CPU is also couple to an Adreno 512 GPU and 3GB/4GB or 6GB of RAM.
