Borderlands 3 will no longer be available for download before the release date

Borderlands 3 is the new Borderlands installment that everyone has been patiently waiting to be released. Unfortunately, the new game just went through some issues and some complications arose with its pre-release date.

This issue is not the only one Borderlands 3 goes through. There is also the fact that the game developer, 2K Games, decided to stick with its launcher and, thus, Borderlands 3 is going to be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for 6 months. Obviously, fans have been and still are displeased with this decision as the publisher is notorious among the gaming community for its deficit of innovation and giveaways of famous titles.

Borderland 3’s obstacles

Due to some unknown issues, the players that have already purchased the game in hope of downloading it before the original release date can’t any longer download it. They have to wait until the day of the release to download it and enjoy it like the rest of the world. Tim Sweeney, Epic Games’ founder, posted a message on Twitter in which he explained that their company cannot provide the support to download the game ahead of the release date. While it is bad news for those who spent their money beforehand, it is not quite that bad because the release date is fast approaching – September 13th. The game will be released for platforms such as Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. 2K Games announced that the game will also be released for Google Stadia.
